1. Buy Extra Toothbrushes

Keep travel toothbrushes in your gym bag, your work bag, and in your purse. This way, all you have to do is run to a nearby bathroom when you're on the go and brush.

If you aren't sure what your day will look like and don't want to risk some bathrooms' water supply, keep a water bottle with you, too.

Don't forget a mini tube of toothpaste, either!

2. Find Time to Floss

Stealing a few minutes to brush is easier than you think.

But, getting a full floss in between meetings or commutes is a bit harder.

Still, this is part of most dentists' oral hygiene instructions. Flossing helps you prevent tooth decay and gum disease by getting things out of places in your mouth that are hard to reach.

When it's hard to find time to get this done, swap traditional flossing for easier options.

A bag of floss picks or dental sticks can do the job while you're out and about. Keep them in your car or stuff a couple in all the bags you put a travel brush.

3. Don't Fall Asleep Without Brushing

No matter how busy your day is, you have to go to bed at some point.

Make sure brushing is a part of your nighttime routine.

If you sometimes stay at your significant other's, in a hotel for work, or any place other than your home, those travel brushes will come in handy.

Otherwise, if you usually end up back in your own bed, make the nighttime your dental hygiene time. Take your time brushing and always use mouthwash before you go to bed.

Look into electric tools you can keep on your counter to help the cleaning process. Some options include water flossers or tartar scrapers.

Speaking of your dentist's office, try to plan appointments far in advance to avoid a schedule conflict.

This will help you stay on track with your dental care for the long-term.
